Getting There

Air
The closest airport is
Gibraltar:
1/2 Hour Drive away. Gibraltar is claimed by Spain but
remains a dependency of the UK, following a peace agreement.
British Airways, Monarch and Easyjet all offer flights to
Gibraltar from the UK. Also Gatwick to Gibraltar, Luton to
Gibraltar - Madrid to Gibraltar, Manchester to Gibraltar
three days a week.
Málaga airport is 1 1/2 Hours away
Flights to Málaga are available
from a number of UK Airports including Aberdeen, Belfast,
Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Cork, Coventry,
Doncaster, Dublin, Durham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Exeter,
Gatwick, Glasgow, Heathrow, Humberside, Leeds, Liverpool,
Luton, Manchester, Manston, Newcastle, Newquay, Norwich,
Notts, Southampton and Stansted.
Jerez de la Frontera Airport
There are also four different routes from
Ireland to Malaga and three routes from Scotland to Malaga.
You can fly into Jerez Airport from the UK and Germany.
Internal Spanish flights are also available from Barcelona
Airport, Palma Airport and Madrid Airport..
Granada Airport is 2 Hours away
There are direct flights between Granada
and the Spanish Cities of Barcelona, Girona, Madrid, Melilla
and Palma de Mallorca along with the Milan, Paris and Rome
in Europe.
By Car
From Málaga
Take the motorway (Autopista
del Sol) direction 'Algeciras' for about an hour until you
reach the Castellar exit. Take this, and after about 10 km.,
turn right at the intersection over the railway bridge and
follow the signs to Jimena.
From Gibraltar or the Costa de la Luz
Leave the main N 340 coast road at Estación San Roque taking
the C3331 to Jimena (32km).
Jimena can also be reached directly from
Ronda. A picturesque 62km on the C341

By Train
We have our own station at Jimena, which
takes you to Granada or Seville, via Gaucin and Ronda.
The Spanish railway network is run by the state
owned company RENFE. International trains from France
terminate at either Madrid or Barcelona. From there you can
catch a train to many of the cities in Andalucia.
High Speed
These include the magnificent AVE which runs on a special
line from Madrid to Cordoba and Seville. (under 3hrs)

The Talgo 200 train runs from:
Madrid to Malaga (4.5 hrs)

Regional
There is a network of regional trains that stop at the
smaller intermediate stations en route.
